Goshawk

Jedburgh, Scotland, UK. 15th June 2015. A male (right) and female Goshawk chick between 3 and 4 weeks old, which have been ringed by a licensed ornothologist to monitor population levels. There are less Goshawks than Golden Eagles in the British Isles although the Scottish Borders is a popular site for the birds, mainly due to suitable forestry that is well managed.
